The Old Stone House has been at the center of events in Brooklyn for more than 300 years. As the key point of interest in the Battle of Brooklyn, we want our gallery and exhibits to grow in scale and sophistication. Our partnership with New York City’s Department of Education expands our outreach through in-school programs. Brooklyn Reading Works, Brooklyn Film Works, Piper Theatre at OSH, and our many other public and private events have resulted in record-breaking numbers of people utilizing the Park, visiting the House and participating in our programs. Our stewardship of JJ Byrne Park will soon result in enhanced park space and significant improvements to the house and its grounds. For the neighborhood, we offer a vital piece of fresh air in the burgeoning community, as well as space for meetings, parties and events. For the city, we are history, education, and the only site commemorating a major battle of the Revolutionary War. For all, we hope to be engaging and fun. With your support, the Old Stone House will continue to grow and evolve as a cultural resource central to the community and the nation. |
